Trump Media and Technology Group (DJT), the owner of Truth Social, held 9,477 bitcoin (BTC) worth $557.1 million at the end of June, down from 9,542 BTC valued at $836.4 million at the end of 2025, according to its quarterly filing Monday.
The number of bitcoin held declined by just 65 BTC, meaning most of the drop in the position's dollar value came from falling prices. Trump Media recorded $218 million in unrealized losses on its bitcoin holdings during the first half of the year.
Across digital assets and digital assets pledged, the Truth Social parent reported $360.6 million in total losses during the six months through June, much of it unrealized. Its roughly 756 million Crypto.com-linked cronos (CRO) tokens remained unchanged, but their value fell to $40.6 million from $68 million.
Riot Platforms (RIOT) unveiled a 20-year data center lease with an unnamed frontier AI lab for 191 megawatts (MW) of computing capacity at its Rockdale, Texas campus, a deal expected to generate about $9.1 billion in revenue over its initial term.
The bitcoin miner, which is also increasingly leaning into AI infrastructure development, reported $174.2 million in second-quarter revenue, up 14% from a year earlier. Data center revenue reached $23.2 million, while bitcoin mining revenue fell to $113.7 million.
Combined with its existing AMD lease, Riot now has 241 MW of AI computing capacity under contract.
RIOT gained about 4% after hours following the announcement, clawing back some of its 5.6% decline during Monday's regular session.
Chipmaker Nvidia (NVDA) is teaming up with some of Wall Street’s biggest firms on plans to finance as much as $500 billion of AI infrastructure, another sign of the staggering amount of capital being lined up for the data-center buildout, the Financial Times reported.
Apollo, Blackstone and Goldman Sachs are among the groups working with the firm to raise capital, according to the report.
The financing would help fund the data centers, computing equipment and other infrastructure needed to meet booming demand for AI.
The new deal shows that there’s little sign of the AI spending spree slowing. Tech companies have been pouring tens of billions of dollars into chips, power and data centers as demand for computing capacity keeps climbing.
Bitcoin (BTC) is slipping lower in the U.S. afternoon hours, now down 2.1% over the 24 hours and trading around $63,800, its weakest in nearly a week.
